Just completed a saw job for a person, and then found out they are using popular for board and batten siding. Not sure I would use this, but... Any one out there ever use this for siding of any kind and would you use it. Any advise would be good so i can pass it along. Thanks in advance.

Boarding in
I never have Bill but many barns and buildings in the prairies have used it. Evidently it lasts as long and anything once it's on a wall.
Interesting. I have used a little poplar in woodworking, but not much. Nothing exterior.
Thanks for the response. I know if it lays on the ground, even 1 year it's rotten.

Hi There,
I have used poplar for Board and Batten for an outdoor generator shed and chicken coop. I did use Sherwin Williams Woodscape on the exterior surfaces. So far both structures look brand new after 5 years with no sign of rot.
