engine dose not shut off after starting

Hello friend I own Norwood MX34 . fitt with Briggs and stratton 23hp model 386447 I have encountered lately when I start the engine it will work good, but when I ant to turned it off it won’t turn off so I have installed small gasoline line valve to shut the gasoline so I can shut the engine. My question dose any body run into this situation before . I was suspicious of the wire cables or the harness. I appreciate your reply Ahmed alsayyed

I believe the Key switch needs a ground to kill the ignition

Does the emergency shut-off not work? If you do use the emergency shu-off or fuel line valve, you'll still need to remember to turn off the switch, or you'll have a dead battery. I go with jmanatee's suggestion. If the switch is faulty, you can replace it for about $12 any place that sells lawn mower parts.

Good judgement comes from experience... experience comes from bad judgement.

Please follow the shrouded cable from the safety cut off switch on the blade shroud to the engine. There is a wire with a slide on connector that connects to the engine housing. Mine came unconnected & I experienced the same issue. Also...make sure when you put the blade guard on that the prong from the part of the switch on the guard you removed to change a blade is properly inserted into the switch housing that is mounted on the blade guard attached to the mill.

Someone cleaned up about 15 ellienivision-like dumps on this thread & now "it" comes along & stinks the place up again. Hopefully, Norwood is starting to monitor this site & is fumigating it to remove all the roaches. Hopefully !!!

I’m thinking someone is looking at things - seems to be a lot less “clickbait” activity.

LeonFlint....old Indian word for idiot. He's smiling because mommy just brought some hot pockets down to the basement. Looks like he has a "user friendly" interface. Grow up & get a life troll.

LeonFlint sucks the big one; and so does Norwood for letting him (or whomever, and for what) have a platform. Why send your brand down the river?

I would feel better if Norwood would put out a statement that they ARE making an effort to block these idiots.

It would be an easy solution (I'm guessing) for them to turn the forum over to an unpaid volunteer moderator who has their interests at heart. Surely such a person could be found. But what are their interests? We are left to wonder.

I have been in contact with Norwood regarding this issue. They assure me that they have a team working to rectify the problem. They ARE aware. Yesterday I received 5 emails alerting me to new responses. They were all the same crap from that butt nugget Raksha300. I copied & pasted the alert url from the emails & forwarded them to Norwood.
