LX 26 extra cutter

Hi everyone, glad to finally be part of the Norwood owners club. I just finished assembly on my HD36 and now I'm putting together the log moulder. I bought the extra cutter head and I'm missing the instructions to install it. I assume that the 4 pins go in the ends of the cutter heads but I nothing to confirm that. Also do I need to run a spacer between the heads or can they be tight together? I will be using the smooth knives for planing. If anyone has any input that would be greatly appreciated. If not I will call the tech guys tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Didnt realize that it takes around 12-15 hours to get posting approval. Answered my own question about the pins and the spacer, but that leads me to another question. I want my knives to overlap slightly so as not to leave any marks where they meet. To do that I will need to run my cutter heads slightly out of phase with each other. My question is as follows, is that how Norwood reccomends doing it and if so how much out of phase should it be? One pin hole? Half a turn? Still waiting for tech to call me back but maybe someone else has info on this.

Same problem. I assume the pins and spacer go between. I’d also like to offset the blades to overlap for a smooth finish. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh hey this looks like fun.

wish you good luck Joby & Alex setting something like that up is very time consuming to get it perfect. My only experience is with my 8" planer.
