SAWMILL TECH TIPS - How to Avoid Tapered & Flared Cuts (& How to Work with Short Logs)

You increase your chances of wedges, flares and tapers in your cuts if you allow the end of your log to overhang beyond a foot beyond a cross bunk. Support the entire length of your log.

TIP: Add an extra cross bunk to your sawmill to support unusual length logs.
