Long ago, we put an end, once and for all, to any ill-informed criticism of Norwood's log deck design -- we put it to the test. First, we hired Ph.D.s in metallurgy and materials engineering. These are people who have spent years studying, engineering and analyzing the strength of metal and how it is formed. They proved, scientifically, that the log deck on the LumberPro portable sawmill is A LOT stiffer and stronger than the competition.

But all those high-tech formulas and numbers don't make the point clearly enough. And, besides, they're boring. ;-) -- So we removed all the supports from the LumberPro's log deck. Then we loaded a whopping 10,000 pounds of logs in the middle.... Yawn!! Nothing happened.

We could have added more logs, but we ran out of room to stack them. Besides, we're busy and wanted to get back to doing what we do best - designing and building the best portable sawmills in the world.

Those other people can keep right on wasting their time and energy putting others down without the slightest basis. It probably makes them feel good.
